My name is Leanne and I’m a freelance web designer and developer from High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. If you’re thinking of working with me, it’s probably a good idea to know a bit about my background in web design so let me briefly explain.

I graduated in 2001 with a degree in BSc (Hons) Business Information Technology and went on to work as a Database Manager for a chartered accountants in London. During this period, I also maintained the company website and started to work on web design projects in my spare time. After a few years, I went on to become a full-time web designer and developer for a corporate communications agency in Oxford. I worked on some big global brands while working at the agency, including SEAT, Audi, Equity and InterContinental Hotels Group.

After meeting my husband and becoming a mum, I wanted a job that would fit around my family life so I branched out on my own and built this website back in 2012. My children aren’t babies anymore and life isn’t as much of a juggle as it once was, but I continue to work on freelance website projects from my home office.

Skill Set

I am a designer and a developer so this means I can design and build you a website from scratch – I create clean, elegant and creative page designs in Photoshop and then turn these designs in to functional high-quality websites as I have a good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript and SEO.
I use a content management system (CMS) called WordPress to build my websites. This is because it is a robust and highly flexible CMS platform, which accounts for 40% of all websites globally – plus its architecture and endless functionality allows me to design and build you an eye catching, effective and secure website.
The majority of my clients tend to be startups or small businesses needing a new website to promote their products or services. Due to working from home as a freelancer, I am able to offer agency quality website design at an affordable rate so my services are ideal for those with a limited budget. I also do ad-hoc changes or tweaks to already established company websites when requested and charge for this service at my hourly rate.
